Back!

Ugh! That felt like more of a long hiatus than a short one – not my intention! I missed this place.

So I’m now in a new apartment, safe and sound (although we didn’t end up moving out completely until June 6, and still have boxes everywhere)! I revised my thesis like crazy over the past couple weeks, and just turned it in to my committee on Tuesday – and needed the last couple days just to unwind. It’s been kind of an insane month. All I have left to do now is prepare for my thesis defense next Tuesday, pass (I hope), and get my manuscript bound.

For those who are interested, my thesis (for my MFA in Creative Writing) is a collection of creative nonfiction essays entitled How to Disappear: One Introvert’s Experience Navigating Solitude. I’m pretty happy with the way it all turned out, amazingly (I’m such a perfectionist), and may post bits and pieces on the blog if the mood strikes me.

Found the perfect edgy silver wedge! They also come in black and gold, and fit true to size. They’re still in stock here at Amazon and Endless, if you’re interested. One reviewer complained about them but mine are holding up just fine (and you can’t beat the price).

After this shoot I cut off the center piece of the vertical strap, though, because it was kind of awkward (and bends really funny if you crouch down, as seen below). But I like them even better now!

I found a ladybug, but you can’t see it. Boo!

Also, beware breezy days in this dress – the skirt tends to fly up around your waist! I’m not kidding. Prepare to feel like an out-of-control Marilyn Monroe.

Picked up these sparkly rings at my local Forever 21. The spherical one reminds me of a disco ball. And I’m pretty much obsessed with two-finger rings.

Anyway, it’s good to be back – I have a bunch more outfit photos to post, and some other posts I’ve been working on, but simply didn’t have the time to publish (sad story). I’m eager to get back into the swing of things, hopefully with a better sense of direction – I’m thinking of sticking more exclusively to fashion and tarot (with honorable mentions in art and craft, and other areas of interest, of course). I suppose we’ll see what happens.

Also, going to see Mates of State tonight at Mr. Smalls Fun House – so excited! They’re one of my favorites. I’ll let you know how it goes (and probably give you a few songs/videos).
