I wore this outfit on my last day of grad school – to my last creative nonfiction workshop, ever. It was bittersweet. We had wine and butternut squash, read from our favorite pieces, and laughed. I made a raspberry cream cheese pie which was half-melted by the time anyone got to it, but the night was magical all the same. I’m glad to be finished with school, but a part of me was sad to see it go.

I absolutely adore this dress. It’s fluttery and breathable, bright and cheerful, with the perfect level of funkiness. So perfectly strange with polka dots, diamond print, and florals, and I love the sleeve detail. It’s an odd material for me – I thought it would be cotton when I ordered it, but rather, it has the weight of silk – though it’s not as soft. As usual, I cut off the tags with little thought, so I’m not really sure what it’s made of.

(Mind the chewing gum on the pavement.) These shoes are becoming my new favorite. They’re comfy, gorgeous, fit like a glove, and go with almost anything. I’m so glad I got them. Every time this happens, I’m tempted to get a backup pair, just in case – I’m still not sure if that’s logical.

It was fun to wear my mood ring again – I missed it (all through high school, I used to live in these things). Also, this is the second or third time I’ve worn this nail polish, and I’m loving it.

In other news, I put the answers to some FAQs about me (and a few random questions, just for fun) on Formspring – planning to do more, when I think of them. If you have any personal questions for me at all, go nuts – I would be delighted to answer.
