I’m officially back online! Nice to see you all again. As you can see, I have switched domains, but the good news is all the old posts have been imported and the old links are being redirected as we speak.
I won’t be using the old site anymore, so please update your links to http://amyuhrich.com (working the branding angle!).
Also, if you’d like to subscribe, here’s the new RSS link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/AmyUhrich
So why the change?
Well, I felt stifled. I painted myself into a corner with the old website in many ways–I chose that domain name based on an idea (the idea of a fashion/aesthetics blog)–which is fine, except I’m far too fickle to stick to just one blogging niche for that long. By moving to a new domain and using my name, I’m not only easier to find on the web–I’m also able to include a lot of things I felt I couldn’t before.
For example: you’ll notice my pages have changed somewhat. My website is no longer just about certain topics–it’s about ME. All Amy, all the time–nothing excluded. You can find everything you need in one place, as opposed to visiting various websites for my services, and yet another for my blog. You now get access to all my projects in one place:
You can learn about my tarot services and buy a reading;
You can explore and purchase the poetry chapbook my literary press published last year;
You can (soon) check out the “Boutique,” where I will be selling (at very reasonable prices!) parts of my wardrobe–and possibly other items–that I deem to be worthy of you;
And, most importantly, you can still read my blog.
And here’s the best part: the blog is also expanding! In addition to what you’d normally expect (fashion, literature, art, music, and photography):
I will now be blogging about tarot (posting tarot readings I’ve done for myself and clients, talking about the practice, exploring the cards, and more). It’s a huge part of my life, and I’m really excited to include it!
I will finally be able to have contests–or giveaways–in which readers will regularly have a chance to win small but very cool prizes!
I’ve revamped my categories, changing some and adding others. You can expect to see fashion tips, how tos, personal projects, interviews (eventually), and pretty much anything else I find interesting/useful/inspiring. You will also be privy to more of my personal life, which I’m sure just tickles your heart.
I’m probably forgetting something, but suffice it to say you will be seeing most of the things you love about the old blog, as well as some new, awesome changes that will surely get your motor running.
If you still think the complicated move seems unnecessary, I hope you’ll take solace in the fact that it’s given me great peace of mind–and that thanks to this, I’ll be able to blog better, and more often.
I’m very grateful for your support, and hope you’ll stick around for the excitement–the more, the merrier. Thank you all for your patience during this transition. I hope you’re all doing well.
See you soon!

Oh Amy! I’m so happy to see you back up and running! Your blogs and splurges of delightful information, random facts, observations and insights astound and amaze me. I sometimes forget about your blog, I really only ever check facebook and email these days, but when I do remember, I’m always tickled pink to find so many blogs to catch up on. It’s like coming back to a favored webcomic after not having internet access for awhile, to find twice as many updates of delicious comic-y goodness waiting for me.
At any rate, you’re amazing, your blog is amazing, and I look forward to following it (if not religiously, then faithfully at least)
Keep doing what you’re doing, for I love you for it! <3
I’m excited to see you back up and running! I like your idea; I’m starting to feel like I’ve boxed myself into too small of a niche with my blog. But I think my regular readership would probably be a bit weirded out if I randomly started posting about runes and rune readings, haha. I still need to figure out a solution!
Jenny — Thanks so much, your support means a lot. I appreciate the comment and I hope you’ll stick around. It’s nice to know people are excited about my posts. That makes it worthwhile.
Michelle — Thanks. I thought the same thing about tarot stuff–so I guess we’ll see how it goes. But I keep getting told to create my own niche. Even if it’s not for everyone, there must be tons of people out there who are interested in all of what we do.
