So this is a bit outdated, but no matter how hard I try I still can’t stop thinking about the paper headdresses at the Chanel Couture Spring ’09 show, crafted so expertly (from 11 x 17″ office paper) by Japanese hairdresser Katsuya Kamo. I couldn’t not blog about it. Talk about art:

…and the clothes weren’t bad, either. In fact, the entire show (including similarly-sculpted paper backdrops) was stunning. You can see even more images/details here, and if you’re interested in what other hair projects Kamo has done, here’s a small sampling :)
P.S. If you want your own floral headpiece, but aren’t so skilled with paper, there are many alternatives available on Etsy. A select few:

The Bungalow
Twigs & Honey
Enjoy!
